I have been a lifelong fan of sewing – it all began as a child when I glued and stapled outfits for my Sindy dolls, rapidly progressing on to my 1st proper sewing machine – granny’s hand cranked Singer.
Two years at The Scottish College of Textiles (now Heriot Watt) cemented my desire and need to create garments and eventually led to where I am now – a designer/maker of one off jackets, skirts and hats.
I started pinkminis in 2004 originally making hats then expanded to include jackets 2 years later. Joining The Crafters in 2006 has meant having a constant retail area as well as still attending craft fairs.
The jackets can be bought “off the peg” or tailored to suit the needs of each individual customer.
Preferring to work in natural fabrics – cottons, silks, linens and wool, I have developed a particular love of Harris Tweed, borne of many camping holidays on the romantic Isle.
